- 2 packs of instant ramen (any flavor, discard seasoning packet)
- 2 Cups water
- 1 Cup milk (whole or plant-based)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbps Soy sauce
- 1 Tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tsp onion powder
- ½ Tsp black pepper (optional)
- ½ Cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 Egg (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 2 tbps Heavy cream (optional)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Boil the ramen: In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add the ramen noodles. Cook for about 2 minutes until slightly softened but not fully cooked.
Add milk & seasonings: Lower the heat to medium and pour in the milk. Stir in butter, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Melt the cheese: Add shredded cheese and stir until completely melted into the broth, creating a creamy sauce.
Enhance creaminess: If using an egg, crack it into the pot and quickly stir to combine, creating a silky texture. Optionally, add heavy cream for an extra-rich taste.
Simmer & serve: Let the ramen simmer for another 1-2 minutes until it reaches the desired consistency.
Garnish & enjoy: Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
