- 6 large jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz 225g cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 lb 450g ground pork sausage
- 12 slices of bacon
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
Preheat the Grill or Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Jalapeños: Slice off the tops and remove seeds.
Make the Cheese Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
Stuff the Peppers: Fill each jalapeño with the cheese mixture.
Wrap in Sausage: Flatten a portion of sausage and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeño, sealing it completely.
Wrap in Bacon: Tightly wrap each sausage-covered jalapeño with bacon slices, securing with toothpicks if needed.
Cook: Place on a baking sheet or grill and cook for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and sausage is fully cooked.
Glaze with BBQ Sauce: In the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush with BBQ sauce and let it caramelize.
